Jackson’s Got Talent 2018 Results
Over 200 people gathered at the Pink Garter Theatre on Friday, November 9th to cheer on our talented local community of dancers, singers, comedians, and musicians to raise funds to support Teton Literacy Center. 10 talent acts with 29 performers filled the stage with music, song, dance, rhythm, jokes and more.  The entertaining event just completed its 5th year of show stopping success, raising over $85,500 for programs at Teton Literacy Center.

The event was sold out, with hopeful attendees lining up at the doors at show time.  Tony Horton of P90X was the host for the evening, joined on stage by judges Gavin Fine, Libby Wood, and Mark Fishman.  The talent acts raised funds through votes from friends and family both in the audience and from a far.  The talent acts raised over $14,900 cumulatively.  Other event support came through individual donations, sponsors, ticket and table sales, in-kind donations, and raffle sales.  Sponsors included: Hawkins, Kaminsky and Devries Accounting, Jorgensen Engineering, Katie Murphy State Farm Insurance, Kismet Gallery, the Pink Garter Theatre, Pinky G’s, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Teton Literacy Center Director Laura Soltau commented, “The evening exceeded all our expectations.  The talent was phenomenal, the audience enthusiastic, and the support unbelievable.  Votes came in from near and far, and the donations are still flowing in!  This incredible support illustrates that together, we can eliminate the achievement gap in our community!”

The evening ended with the announcement of the People’s Choice Award determined by most votes and the Judge’s Choice Award.  The Timeless Tappers won the People’s Choice Award with over 6,000 votes. After much deliberation, Frances Reid took home the Judge’s Choice Award stealing the heart of all the judges.  All talent acts received a Fast Pass with America’s Got Talent to get to the front of the line in Season 14 auditions.
Talent acts included: Frances Reid, Jordan and Kiva of the JHHS Dance Team, Nick Staron, Johnny Stout, Abigail Lily, Timeless Tappers, Super Stunts Multiplied of Journeys School, Maddie, Vanessa, and Ellie of Rainbow Mist, Clint King, and Alexia Carmical.

Thanks to everyone who joined in to make Jackson’s Got Talent a success.  The students, families, staff, board, and community are grateful for your support!
